The site lies within one of the largest regeneration areas in London and its physical constraints require a highly creative approach to brown field urban regeneration.

The concept design is underpinned by the desire to create a beautiful new space and a desirable residential environment.  The form of the building is derived from the creation of a strong but contemporary synergy with the existing architectural context, forming a group of buildings around a central courtyard.

Material selection was carefully considered to enhance the overall simplicity and neutrality of the form in its historic context in addition to excellent environmental properties.

The apartments are a mix of open plan, duplex and lateral units to optimise the opportunities presented by the site’s physical characteristics, and to maximise the loft style experience offered by the overall building form.

This large private chalet located in Villars, Switzerland was completed in 2007. The building has four floors under a generously proportioned spreading roof providing protection from snow and sun. Whilst the roof structure and much of the frame of the building is constructed from traditional Swiss softwood, the facades have been opened up with large areas of triple glazing connecting directly to a wide external terrace giving the whole composition a modern and contemporary feel. Internally, the three storey living room and gallery open up to spectacular mountain views, bringing the dramatic mountain landscape directly into the everyday living environment of the home.

This luxury development of five very large lateral apartments is located in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and replaced a redundant 1960s telephone exchange.  The layered façade of white Portland cement and grey granite aggregate in front of a glazed curtain wall creates a modern transition between the terraced street of Belgravia and the taller hotel on the corner of Chesham Place.
