    Doone Silver Kerr were appointed by Mori Living to create a design for a new apartment type in the 44-storey Residence C at Roppongi Hills in the heart of Tokyo.  A furnished model apartment was completed in October 2018 and the design will now be used to replace a range of existing apartments on the upper floors of the tower as Mori Living progress a refurbishment programme.

    The project is a return to working with Mori Living for Richard Doone, who was involved in the original Roppongi Hills project in 2003.

    Doone Silver Kerr was appointed to design a major refurbishment of a loft apartment in Clerkenwell; the heart of London’s creative industries.  The scheme responds to the clients’ brief to create a refined, light, elegant interior and is based upon clarity of line and plane, as well as a well-mannered palate of sophisticated tones.

    Doone Silver Kerr undertook the refurbishment and interior fit-out of a photographer’s studio in Clapham, London. The works included furniture, lighting and bespoke signage to reflect the client brand.

    The refurbishment of a late Victorian property situated in the Kensington Court Conservation area to provide 5 luxury residential apartments and a studio unit.

    The interior design concept draws from classical British tradition and craftsmanship.  Bespoke joinery incorporating bronze accents and stitched leather, bordered timber floors, and natural stone accent walls are used throughout.

    The proposals also include a glazed roof top pavilion with a landscaped garden creating a distinctly contemporary addition to compliment the traditional building.

    We assisted a client in the extensive refurbishment and internal remodelling of a 4-storey house located within the Fournier Street conservation area in Spitalfields, London. The works included creating more extensive open plan living spaces within the original house structure and enhancing natural lighting via new structural glass terrace rooflights above the kitchen at the rear.

  6. 60 Worship Street and 1 Finsbury Market, London

    The refurbishment and upgrade of an early 20th Century office building and printworks in South Shoreditch, that was formerly home to the Mining Journal.  The main aim of the refurbishment was to improve access to the building, and provide a strong identity to the development on this visible corner site whilst retaining the industrial character of the existing building.  At ground floor level the project includes a new common entrance and a new glazed curtain wall façade.

    The adjacent former warehouse and loading bay, 1 Finsbury Square, also provide flexible office and open plan studio space suited for the mix of creative and commercial enterprises in the local area.

    60 Worship Street and 1 Finsbury Market are currently occupied by HelloFresh as their new London headquarters.

    Proposals were developed for the refurbishment of 20 St James’s Street, London to create high quality offices with an art gallery at ground level. The typical office floors would be transformed through rationalisation of core and structure whilst relocation of roof level plant would allow for premium penthouse office accommodation with roof terraces.

    Detailed planning and conservation area consent was received in early 2013 for this 4,500 m2 mixed use redevelopment of a range of four warehouse buildings on Mount Pleasant and Rosebery Avenue comprising office, residential and retail accommodation.  The project restores the original buildings and adds new rooftop accommodation to increase the site area by 30%.  The design meets BREEAM Excellent and Level 4 Code for Sustainable Homes targets.    

  9. Michelin House, London

    We have assisted Bibendum Restaurant in refurbishing their forecourt café on Fulham Road within the award winning grade II listed Michelin House.  The project included glazing the two open side archways and the re-design of the café.

    Bibendum originally opened in the late 1980s and has been voted ‘The Most Consistently Excellent Restaurant’ in London by Tatler Louis Roederer.
