John Silver trained as an architect at the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London.
John joined Foster + Partners in 1984, becoming a Director in 1994. During his 20 years with the practice John was responsible for a wide range of high-profile projects, including the new Stansted Airport terminal building, Commerzbank HQ in Frankfurt, Electronic Arts HQ in Chertsey, the new University of Cambridge Law Library, the Lycée Albert Camus in Fréjus, the Aspire building at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, together with Tower Place, Holborn Place and a number of other office developments in London.
John has previously worked as a Director at BFLS (formerly Hamiltons Architects) for 8 years. His portfolio includes the City Place 3 office project at Gatwick Airport, luxury interiors at One Hyde Park, a hotel in Shepherds Bush, private residential projects in London and Switzerland, as well as office projects in Westminster, the City of London, Birmingham and Rugby.
