Rowel Castillo completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture at Technological University of the Philippines in 1997 and passed the Professional Licensing Board Exam for Architecture the following year.
He gained experience with various practices in the Philippines before joining Kajima Design Asia in Singapore to work on several commercial, industrial, institutional, office interior and residential projects throughout South East Asia.
In 2005 Rowel moved to London and joined Flanagan Lawrence (formerly Hamilton’s and then BFLS), where he was a key member of the team responsible for building the 80 luxury apartments of One Hyde Park in Knightsbridge, London and its unit prototypes. He was involved from the early design development stage of the project until its completion in 2010. After that, he worked on office/commercial schemes including 18-20 Grosvenor Street in Mayfair and 12-14 New Fetter Lane in Holborn, as well as high-end residential apartments in Belgravia.
